The Vikings haven't traded for Vincent Jackson, but they did move to add a wide receiver on Tuesday.

Hank Baskett, who got his start with the Vikings, will be signing with Minnesota after being let go by Philadelphia. He  was on his way to the Twin Cities on Tuesday night and the plan is for him to sign a one-year deal on Wednesday. was the first to report the story.

Baskett, 28, was released by the Eagles on Tuesday so Philadelphia could sign running back Joique Bell off the Buffalo Bills' practice squad.

Baskett was active for the Eagles' first two games but had no receptions. He has 76 career receptions for 1,080 yards and six touchdowns in four-plus seasons.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Baskett will give the Vikings some much needed size in their receiving corps.

Baskett was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Vikings in 2006 out of the University of New Mexico but was quickly traded to the Eagles for veteran wide receiver Billy McMullen. He played three seasons with the Eagles before being released in September 2009.

He signed with the Colts and had four receptions in 11 games. Baskett's most memorable moment with the Colts came in last season's Super Bowl when he failed to hang onto the Saints' onside kick that opened the second half.

Baskett might be most famous for being married to reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson.
