A couple of things from Phil Miller, who's covering tonight's game at Target Center:
Back to back: Hornets visit Target Center tonight
Nathan Jawai out again ill for second game in five days vs. New Orleans
Kurt Rambis is staying with that same starting lineup -- Gomes and Wilkins up front, Love off the bench -- again tonight.
Nathan Jawai is inactive again tonight after not making the trip to Toronto because he was ill.
"He says he's OK," Rambis said, "but in a manner that doesn't convince me he's OK."
Jawai will accompany the team to L.A. after tonight's game. The Wolves are leaving early -- right after the game, rather than tomorrow -- and will practice at the Lakers facility tomorrow afternoon to prepare for Friday's game.
Rambis says the two-hour time change allows players time to get in at a decent hour tonight and adjust their bodies to West Coast time, but you can bet it's all about getting out of winter for a few extra hours, especially for a coach who's an L.A. guy.
Rambis, btw, checked in with each player late last night after the team's flight arrived from Toronto, just to be sure everyone was all right. He apparently was a little freaked by the snowstorm.
The weather that will greet the Wolves in L.A. is supposed to be bad: mid-50s and rain. Cry 'em a river.
How are Brian Flores and the Vikings preparing to defend their former quarterback Kirk Cousins? "I’m expecting his best," the defensive coordinator said. “The best version of Kirk."
