The death of a 2-month-old child is under investigation in Braham, Minn., authorities reported Thursday night.
The child, whose gender was not released, was found dead Wednesday in an apartment in the Isanti County town.
Just before 11 a.m., authorities received a report that an infant was not breathing, the Isanti County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
"After officers arrived it was apparent that the 2-month-old was deceased," according to the news release.
Authorities said the cause and manner of death are not yet established.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office in Ramsey.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Braham police, the Sheriff's Office and the medical examiner's office are investigating the death.
