The driver who died Sunday after crashing into a building in Plymouth has been identified.
According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Matthew Hunt, 45, of Plymouth died in the crash.
Around 8:30 p.m., Plymouth police officers observed black smoke in the 14600 block of 21st Avenue N. When they arrived they located a fully engulfed car that had crashed through the side of a building belonging to K2 Logistics.
Fire crews arrived shortly after and put out the blaze. Authorities discovered a body in the vehicle, said Deputy Police Chief Erik Fadden.
The medical examiner identified the man as Hunt but did not specify a cause of death.
Police and the state fire marshal continue to investigate.
