Common has been at the the Minnesota Star Tribune since 2001. Before joining the online staff, he served as a suburban editor and a senior copy editor who supervised the production of our Business section. He was also the first "voice" behind the the Minnesota Star Tribune's Twitter feed back in 2010-11. Common grew up in Apple Valley and graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. When not on the job, he's a fan of the Twins, the Lynx and, of course, the Northwestern Wildcats. He lives in St. Paul.
