As it turns out, St. Louis goalie Allen is human

Much of the credit for the Wild's early exit from the Stanley Cup Playoffs belongs to St. Louis Blues goalie Jake Allen.

His effort described many ways including "otherworldly" held the Wild to just eight goals in five games and one goal in each of the first three games of the first-round series.

Well, Allen's magic might have run out. He gave up four goals in the Blues' 4-3 Game 1 loss to Nashville in the Western Conference semifinals Wednesday night. He finished the game with 28 saves, but only a .875 save percentage.

The game-winning goal was tapped through his five-hole as he lunged for the loose puck, but was beaten to it by Vernon Fiddler.

Allen's lowest save percentage in any game during the Wild series was .919. He made 174 saves on 182 shots (.956 for the series).

"Where was this Jake Allen against the Wild??" Wild fan Chris Crawford tweeted. There is much more of this on Twitter.
