Hot decor Don't you wish you could change your house with each season? Bachman's designers get the opportunity to transform every indoor and outdoor room in the Summer Ideas House to coincide with warm weather and outdoor entertaining.

The first Ideas House this spring was a hit with more than 2,500 visitors. The new summer-themed home is open for tours June 2-13. The sun-drenched, bright-colored spaces will be decked out with a mix of new and vintage furnishings selected by Bachman's staff. The children's bedrooms are designed around themes -- camping for a boy and Bohemian cottage for a girl. Outdoor rooms will be staged for a family reunion and ice cream social. Look for newly installed landscaping and gardens on the grounds. The majority of the furniture and accessories will be for sale after the event, with prices and information available at the home.

The Summer Ideas House is at 5936 Lyndale Av. S., Minneapolis, the site of the original Bachman family farm. Tickets are $5 and sold for a certain time slot. Part of the proceeds benefit Children's Home Society. Call 612-861-7311 or go to www.bachmans.com.
