The NCAA is preparing to reveal allegations of major violations in the Kansas men's basketball program, the Kansas City Star reported Friday.

Kansas will be among at least six schools notified about Level 1 violations. The violations came to light during a federal investigation into a pay-for-play scheme involving schools associated with Adidas.

Former Adidas employee T.J. Gassnola testified in federal court last October that he made payments of $90,000 on behalf of Adidas to the mother of KU player Billy Preston and $22,500 to the guardian of KU player Silvio De Sousa.

Gassnola testified that KU coach Bill Self was not aware of the payments.

ESPN recently reported that NCAA investigators were also working on cases at Arizona, Auburn, Creighton, Louisville, LSU and USC.
