Sven Andrighetto scored twice, Semyon Varlamov stopped 30 shots before leaving in the third period with an apparent injury, and the Colorado Avalanche continued their playoff push with a 5-0 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night.

Varlamov was cruising along until a Chicago player ran into his left pad with 6 minutes, 25 seconds remaining. Jonathan Bernier came in and finished the Avalanche's 27th home victory, which moved it within four points of the third-place Wild in the Central.

Colorado remains in contention with 92 points, a season after it had a league-worst 48.

Vegas 4, St. Louis 3 (OT): Jonathan Marchessault's goal 22 seconds into overtime lifted the host Golden Knights, who can win the Pacific Division as an expansion team with a point in Saturday's game against San Jose. The Blues (43-29-5, 91 points) are one point out of the wild-card race in the West.

Tampa Bay 7, N.Y. Rangers 3: Brayden Point and Cedric Paquette each scored two goals, and the Lightning stopped a three-game slide by winning in New York. Tampa Bay regained first place in the Atlantic Division and the Eastern Conference with 108 points. The Lightning had fallen from the top spot for the first time since October on Thursday.

Carolina 4, Washington 1: Justin Faulk scored midway through the second period for the visiting Hurricanes, who won for the fourth time in five games as they try to make the playoffs for the first time in nine years.

Toronto 5, N.Y. Islanders 4: Auston Matthews scored the tiebreaking goal with just under four minutes remaining, lifting the Maple Leafs in New York.

Anaheim 2, Los Angeles 1 (OT): Richard Rakel won it for the host Ducks, scoring with 19 seconds left in overtime vs. the Kings.
