Dakota Junction

During Tuesday dinner (5 to 8 p.m.), this bike-friendly charmer on the Dakota Rail Regional Trail does the kids-eat-free thing. The rules: For each adult entree purchased, a youngster can select an item from the kids’ menu. Options include a chicken quesadilla with chips and salsa, chicken tenders with fries, a grilled cheese sandwich with apples, and more.

Mill Valley Kitchen

On Sunday after 4 p.m., this stylish, health-conscious destination offers free meals for kids (one caveat: An adult must also purchase dinner). Kids can choose from a veggie burger, chicken and rice, mac and cheese, a cheese flatbread, and more, all served with fresh fruit and edamame.

Q. Cumbers

OK, so it’s not quite free, but on Monday, this gigantic belly-up-to-the-buffet operation offers Kid’s Night, at drastically reduced prices. Here’s how it works: From 4 to 8 p.m., an adult buying dinner can take up to two children — ages 3 to 12 — out for supper and pay just 99 cents per kid.
