The Jacksonville Jaguars can reach another miserable milestone Sunday against Denver.

With a loss to the defending Super Bowl champion Broncos (7-4), the Jaguars (2-9) would become the fifth team in NFL history to post double-digit losses in six consecutive seasons.

It's a dubious distinction Jacksonville surely would rather avoid. To do that, though, the Jags need to win out. That seems like an ultra-long shot for a team that has lost six in a row and already secured its ninth consecutive non-winning season.

"It's definitely frustrating because you always think year after year that this could be the year to turn things around, and when things don't go the way you expect, it's so easy to get down," said veteran defensive end Tyson Alualu, one of three guys who have been on Jacksonville's roster for six seasons. "This is by far the most talented team I've been a part of. We know that's not the issue."

Cowboy LB suspended

Dallas linebacker Rolando McClain was suspended indefinitely without pay for violating the NFL policy on substance abuse.

McClain missed a test, which is considered a positive test by the NFL, and had appealed it. The league's announcement means the appeal process has been completed.

Green Bay hurting

The Packers listed injured stars Aaron Rodgers (hamstring) and Clay Matthews (shoulder) as questionable for Green Bay's game Sunday against the Texans, but both are expected to play.

They were limited on Thursday, the Packers' one day on the practice field this week.

Rodgers tweaked his left hamstring Monday night during the Packers' 27-13 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Second-year pro Brett Hundley is the other quarterback on the active roster.

Etc.

• The Broncos ruled out quarterback Trevor Siemian (leg) for Sunday's game at Jacksonville, meaning rookie Paxton Lynch will make his second start.

•Raiders quarterback Derek Carr practiced without a glove on his right hand for the second straight day and is good to go for Sunday's game against the Bills.

• Bills receiver Sammy Watkins is expected to play in his second consecutive game though questions persist about the severity of his left foot injury.

• The Raiders plan to place cornerback D.J. Hayden on injured reserve because of a hamstring injury.

• The banged-up Panthers will be without star linebacker Luke Kuechly and safety Kurt Coleman at Seattle because of concussions.

• Prosecutors in Dallas agreed to drop a misdemeanor domestic violence charge against former Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel over a January incident involving his former girlfriend, assuming he undergoes treatment or counseling over the course of the next year.

• Tyrann Mathieu (shoulder) did not practice and coach Bruce Arians said it's doubtful the versatile Cardinals defensive back will play Sunday against Washington. Redskins tight end Jordan Reed will miss the game at Arizona because of a sprained left shoulder.
