College football: Saturday's TV highlights

Records: Notre Dame 6-1, Temple 7-0

The skinny: It's the biggest game in the history of Temple football. Beat a top-10 Notre Dame team and Temple can start lobbying for inclusion in the College Football Playoffs. The Irish's playoff hopes are very much alive.

The stat: The Fighting Irish are 101st in the nation in rushing defense at 4.79 yards allowed per attempt.

Records: Ole Miss 6-2, 3-1 SEC; Auburn 4-3, 1-3

The skinny: The Rebels are still in the hunt for an SEC West title even with LSU and Alabama getting most of the attention. For Auburn, another loss could make even a winning record a long shot.

The stat: Ole Miss' Chad Kelly leads the league with 2,475 passing yards and 18 touchdown passes. The Tigers are 11th in the SEC against the pass.

Records: Georgia 5-2, 3-2 SEC; Florida 6-1, 4-1

The skinny: Florida State comes into a game trying to rebound off a regular-season loss (22-16 last Saturday at Georgia Tech) for the first time in three years and trying not to look ahead to next Saturday's showdown at third-ranked Clemson.

The stat: The Seminoles have committed just two turnovers, tied for the national lead with LSU.

The line: Florida by 2½

Records: Oklahoma State 7-0, 4-0 Big 12; Texas Tech 5-2, 2-3

The stat: The Cowboys lead the Big 12 in scoring defense, total defense, rush defense, red zone defense, sacks and tackles for loss.

The line: Oklahoma State by 2½

Records: Stanford 6-1, 5-0 Pac-12; Washington State 5-2, 3-1

The skinny: Stanford seeks its seventh consecutive win to retain control of the Pac-12 North race and remain in contention for the College Football Playoff. Washington State is looking to become bowl-eligible and close the gap on Stanford in the Pac-12 North. Stanford and WSU are the only Pac-12 North teams with one or fewer conference losses.

The stat: Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey leads the nation with 259 all-purpose yards per game.
