NBA legend Moses Malone dies at age 60

Hall of Fame basketball player and former Houston Rocket Moses Malone has died, a Houston television station is reporting.
Malone was found early Sunday in a hotel room in Virginia, according to KTRK-TV. He was 60 years old.
Malone was the NBA Finals MVP in 1983 when he played for Philadelphia. He also was MVP in 1979 and 1982 while playing with the Rockets.
His 16,212 rebounds rank him fifth on the NBA's all-time list. His 27,409 career points place him eighth. He was the first player to go pro straight out of high school, a move that is no longer allowed in the NBA.

Malone played for the Utah Stars, the Spirits and Buffalo Braves before the American Basketball Association merged with the NBA. He later played with the Rockets, 76ers, Washington Bullets, Atlanta Hawks and the San Antonio Spurs.
