EERO SAARINEN AND CHRIST CHURCH LUTHERAN: A CLOSER LOOK

What: Talks, tours and photo exhibits will offer a chance to learn more about Christ Church Lutheran.

Ongoing: "Christ Church Lutheran: Three Photographic Visions," an exhibit of photos by Minneapolis architect Peter J. Sieger and collaborator Tom Dolan and noted architectural photographers Balthazar Korab and George Miles Ryan. Opens Thursday; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wed. and 6-8 p.m. Thu. Ends Jan. 4. There are also Eero Saarinen photo exhibits through next Sunday at Ralph Rapson Hall at the University of Minnesota, 89 SE. Church St., Mpls., and through Nov. 23 at the Minneapolis Central Library, 300 Nicollet Mall, Mpls.

More: The Sunday events are part of a weekend symposium on Saarinen that includes a Friday night lecture by Balthazar Korab, Saarinen's chief photographer, and Saturday lectures by Saarinen experts. The 7 p.m. lecture, at the Bell Museum of National History, 10 SE. Church St., Mpls., is free. See www.design.umn.edu.
