Final Michael Graves products hit Target

The retailer unveils the famed designer's last collection for Target.

Michael Graves' final collection for Target hit stores this month. In addition to good taste, Graves apparently has been blessed with good timing.

After months of declining sales, the Minneapolis-based retailer reported February comparable store sales in home furnishings and decor rose in the low single digits, led by housewares.

Graves helped established Target as destination for trendy home merchandise. But as the economy soured, Target has been relying more on food and household products to drive sales, hoping some of that pixie dust will eventually rub off on higher margin items like Graves' creations.
