A fact sheet on the latest Obama housing plan

The plan will mostly help those with FHA mortgages and veterans

Details are emerging about the latest While House plan to help struggling homeowners. This afternoon Pres. Obama said that the hopes to help three to five million homeowners, including a plan to reduce fees on FHA refinancings, and by offering veterans and folks in the miltary some assistance if they sold their homes at a loss, or lost equity through a foreclosure. The program is smaller in scope than previous housing plans, but is being hailed by some, including local blogger mortgage lender, Alex Stenback, as an effort that "makes sense," according to Stenback.
