You can still get in for free or for cheap

There will still be ways to get free admission at many Twin Cities museums after the Museum Adventure Passes are pulled from shelves. A sampling:• The Minnesota Children's Museum offers free admission on the third Sunday of each month. And residents of St. Paul and Dakota County can check out a "Passport to Play" at libraries, redeemable for free admission for two people and $2 admission for additional people.

• The Science Museum of Minnesota has "Great Tix" program, which offers $1 admission for people and families who meet income requirements. Seniors and students can get discounts on certain days.

• The Minnesota History Center is free on Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• The Walker Art Center is free on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• The Bell Museum of Natural History is free on Sundays.
