Friday-Saturday: If it's spring it must be time for the Minnesota segment of SCUBA, a national dance touring network linking Twin Cities choreographers with artists nationwide. This weekend's program features the incomparable Judith Howard representing the Twin Cities with "CAPES," a work commenting on the state of dance and global warming (with tongue firmly planted in cheek). Mad King Thomas, Naomi Joy, April Sellers and Morgan Thorson make up her all-star cast. The program also includes Seattle's Amelia Reeber with "this is forgery," an exploration of a life in flux, plus Philadelphia's Jumatatu Poe in "Flight Attendants," pictured, a study of people's (perceived) roles and how they break out of them.
- 8 p.m. Fri.-Sat. $18-$20. Southern Theater, 1420 Washington Av. S., Mpls. 612-340-1725 or southerntheater.org
