The Gophers will win the tournament because ... They are coming off a feel-good victory over Pitt. Several players had career-highs. China Antoine made six three-pointers. Brianna Mastey had 10 points and seven rebounds, and Kristen Dockery had eight points and nine rebounds. Gophers are shooting 52.7 percent from the field.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee will win the tournament because ... Four starters are averaging in double figures. The Panthers have size inside with 6-4 freshman center Courtney Lindfors, averaging 22 points and 7.5 rebounds, both team highs. The team also has four Minnesotans on its roster -- Lindsay Laur, Roseville; Anne Breland, Rochester; Amanda Viehauser, Minneapolis; and Laura Melquist, Byron -- so Panthers will have a rooting section.

Junior 6-1 forward Amber Hegge is averaging a team-high 15 points. USD also has four Minnesotans on its roster, including 5-10 guard Tempestt Wilson (Elk River), who scored 18 points in the Coyotes' last game.
