Q:What's a typical workday like for you?
Monitoring daily work flow operations is one of my most important responsibilities. This includes making sure that all areas are staffed appropriately and that everyone on the team knows the critical information they need to provide the best service for patients. The staff and I communicate frequently throughout the day, starting with a daily huddle to establish who's working together and to discuss any new work flows. I also attend some off-site meetings.
Q:How does your role fit into the bigger healthcare picture?
I try to make it as easy as possible for patients to schedule their appointments and check in so they have access to their primary care physician, who can meet their medical needs.
Q:Who do you interact with during the course of the day?
I interact with everyone here at the clinic, including the patient care, registration, business office, laboratory and radiology teams.
Q:Why did you become a clinic manager?
I love the variety the position has to offer. I have a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with medical professionals not only within the clinic but with my peers across the Fairview system.
