Agent: David Lee's Saturday visit still on

New York Knicks power forward still scheduled

Rudy Gay never made it to Minneapolis, to the tune of an $81 million deal to stay home in Memphis.

But David Lee is still a go.

That's what his agent Mark Bartelstein said today.

Lee will be here tomorrow for the day to visit with Wolves officials and take a look around.

The Wolves right now only have about $5 million left to spend after agreeing to deals with Nikola Pekovic and Darko Milicic.

They also have power forwards Kevin Love and Al Jefferson on their roster right now.

So why visit Minnesota after Lee is meeting with Chicago and Miami today?

"These things change really quickly," Bartelstein said. "All kinds of trades and things can happen. We just want to see what happens."

The only way now for the Wolves to sign a significant free agent is in a sign-and-trade deal involving Jefferson's $13 million or if they basically give Jefferson for the cap space in a deal to another team way under the salary cap or if they trade him to Dallas for Erick Dampier's $13 million contract, which is non-guaranteed until next season's first game.

The Gophers played with more urgency, but it wasn’t enough to keep them from another conference sweep, and they lost LJ Mooney to injury in the process.
