Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been named NFC offensive player of the month.

Peterson, 30, rushed for an NFL-leading 634 rushing yards on 117 carries and five touchdowns in November.  That’s the most rushing yards he’s had in a month since December of 2012, when he had 861 and also won NFC offensive player of the month on his way to MVP honors.

The six-time Pro Bowl selection leads the NFL in rushing (1,164 yards) and has eight rushing touchdowns. He is 18th on the NFL’s all-time rushing list with 11,354 yards.

Peterson was also named the FedEx Ground Player of the Week in the NFL; he had 158 rushing yards in a victory over Atlanta. Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson, who had a career-high five touchdown passes in a victory over Seattle, was the Air Player of the Week.

The Vikings and Seahawks play Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium.
