Every weekday, we walk you through what’s going on with the Vikings.

WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED

— A tide-turning busted play, a here-we-go-again fumble and a missed field goal led to the latest heartbreaking playoff loss for the Vikings.

— Why must it always end this way for the Vikings?

— Kicker Blair Walsh took ownership of his miscue after the game.

— Was Walsh’s missed field goal the worst kick in Vikings history?

— Running back Adrian Peterson said his fumble will haunt him.

— At six below, Sunday’s game was the third-coldest in NFL history.

BEHIND ENEMY LINES

— The football dogs smiled on the Seahawks in another weird finish.

— Even when a season-ending loss to the Vikings seemed certain, the Seahawks say they were confident that Walsh would miss the kick.

— The Seahawks turned an ugly loss into a thing of beauty.

— Seahawks coach Pete Carroll doesn’t know what is up with running back Marshawn Lynch, who decided on Friday he wasn’t playing Sunday.

TODAY’S VIKINGS SCHEDULE

The Vikings players will be at Winter Park this morning to clean out their lockers. No word on when coach Mike Zimmer will have his season-ending press conference, but it definitely won’t be this afternoon.

The scouting combine is in late February, free agency starts in two months and the draft will be here before we know it. So I’ll kick it to you: What’s the one thing the Vikings absolutely need this offseason? Chime in in the comments section.
