ABOUT THIS PROJECT

What: A 1930s Minneapolis bungalow is updated with a modern back-of-the-house addition.

Size: Main floor: 1,180 square feet (900 existing, plus 280 new). Second floor: 1,075 square feet. Partially finished basement: 1,142 square feet (900 existing, plus 242 new).

Design team: Architects Bob Ganser, Christian Dean and Ben Awes, CityDeskStudio, Minneapolis, www.citydeskstudio.com, 612-872-2398.

Contractor: Bennett Koch Construction, Arden Hills.

Landscape design: ROLU Design Studio, Minneapolis.
