SHANNON CURRIER AT A GLANCE

Age: 45

Hometown: Cosmos, Minn.

As a player: Played quarterback at Hamline, where he graduated from in 1993.

College record: 52-47, all at NCAA Division II — 32-12 at Concordia (St. Paul) from 2000-03, 20-35 at Truman State in Missouri from 2004-08.

Different times: Currier is Concordia's all-time leader with a .727 winning percentage. But during his first stint from 2000 to 2003, the NSIC didn't include Minnesota State Mankato, St. Cloud State, Augustana or Sioux Falls, among others.

Worth noting: Concordia cracked the NCAA Division II national top 25 rankings twice during his previous tenure.

Modest expectations: League coaches tabbed Concordia to finish 13th in the 16-team NSIC, and last in the South Division.
