A think-pink rose Pink is everywhere these days. Once the color of girlie girls, pink has become the color of breast cancer awareness. There are pink sneakers, pink blenders, even pink vacuum cleaners. A pink rose only makes sense.

Perhaps that's why the All America Rose Selections chose Pink Promise as a 2009 winner. This fragrant, hybrid tea rose boasts pale pink petals, dark green foliage and long stems that make it perfect for cutting. It's supposed to do well in colder climates such as ours and has excellent disease resistance. A percentage of sales of Pink Promise will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. So when you go to the garden center next spring, think pink.
