While coaching the Wolves during their first two years of existence, Bill Musselman mentored six future NBA head coaches — two were assistants, including newly hired Tom Thibodeau, and four were players:

Tom Thibodeau: Wolves assistant under Musselman had lengthy NBA assistant résumé before landing job with Chicago Bulls, whom he directed to five playoff berths.

Eric Musselman: Musselman's son and assistant had 108-138 record with Golden State and Sacramento; now a college coach at Nevada.

Scott Brooks: Newly hired coach of Washington was 338-207 in seven seasons with Oklahoma City; NBA Coach of the Year in 2010.

Tyrone Corbin: Former Wolves star has career 119-167 record with Utah and Sacramento.

Sidney Lowe: Has career record of 79-228 with the Wolves, Vancouver and Memphis; on Sam Mitchell's staff last season.

Sam Mitchell: Last season's Wolves coach has record of 185-242 with Toronto and Minnesota; was NBA Coach of the Year in 2007.
