Some quick hits at the end of Day One of the winter meetings

Brian Dozier looks and feels great. He took a month off after the season to let his body heal. Don't forget, he strained a oblique in September and was shut down the last few days of the season. But he said he feels great. The only problem is that his golf game has suffered.

He really wants to stay with the Twins.

Sean Johnson is the new Twins scouting director, and his first draft will include the first overall pick. That is quite a challenge.

Derek Falvey and Thad Levine have spent more time meeting with Twins officials and agents for their own players than they have talking to clubs and agents about deals. They are meeting many staffers for the first time here at the winter meetings.

Skiing legend Lindsey Vonn was one of the VIPs at the Under Armour party to announce its 10-year uniform deal with MLB. Yes, I was looking for a chance to introduce myself. No dice.
