A Dylan kind of Christmas

August 11, 2009 at 11:05PM

Bob Dylan, that nice Jewish boy who grew up on the Iron Range, is working on a Christmas album that will include secular and religious tunes. That's the word from bullypulpit.com, a news and culture blog, which reports that at least four songs have been recorded: "Must Be Santa," "Here Comes Santa Claus," "I'll Be Home For Christmas" and "O Little Town of Bethlehem." Billboard reports that it also has confirmed the existence of the album.

According to bullypulpit.com, Dylan has done recording at the studio of singer/songwriter Jackson Browne in Santa Monica, Calif. Three decades ago, Dylan went through a "born again" experience that produced several gospel songs, including "Slow Train Coming," which proclaimed his involvement with Christianity.
