It's easy to exaggerate the import of round-numbered anniversaries. But it's hardly possible to overstate the significance of Johann Sebastian Bach, who, born on the vernal equinox in 1685, turns 325 next Sunday. Musicians from Minnesota and beyond are conspiring to mark the event.
One disappointment: a March 22 recital by Julia Fischer has been canceled, as has the German violinist's entire North American tour.
