Smash Mouth, a 1990s rock band, will headline the music lineup for Stillwater's Lumberjack Days at the July 23 evening concert, festival officials announced Wednesday.

The band from San Jose, Calif., best known for its hits "Walkin' on the Sun" and "All Star," will perform in Lowell Park. Martin Zellar and the Gear Daddies, which are appearing together in a single act, will open the show, said Dave Eckberg, president of St. Croix Events, the organization that puts on the celebration. Lumberjack Days runs July 21-24.

"We have a double-header with two great acts," Eckberg said.

The announcement completes the concert schedule that includes the Minneapolis 1980s retro group Hairball playing July 21. Collective Soul will play on July 22, and the tribute band Zed Leppelin will return for the third straight year, taking the stage on July 24.

Concerts on July 21 and 24 are free, but a $10 park pass will be needed for the concerts featuring Collective Soul and Smash Mouth with the Gear Daddies. Park passes are available through St. Croix Events at 651-430-2306 or www.lumberjackdays.com.
