Winter made a return to the Twin Cities Sunday night and into Monday morning and that has an impact on the drive to work. But the slushy and slippery roads didn't cause as much as a problem here as it did in southern Minnesota.

The metro saw a handful of spin outs and crashes, with freeway shoulders, bridges and entrance/exit ramps posing the most problems for motorists.

Transit ran on time without any issues. Motorists, particularly in the south metro, didn't encounter huge delays, but those in the south metro moved slower than those in the north part of the city.

The good news is that no major setbacks developed and delays didn't add much time to trips today.

Roads are slowly improving, but slick spots still exist so use caution.
