There definitely was no hangover effect on the morning following St. Patrick's Day as traffic moved along swiftly and there were hardly any crashes.

A traffic stop on southbound 35W at 66th Street in the past few minutes has a small jam forming there, one of the few places traffic bogged down Wednesday.

An early morning fender bender on westbound 694 at Hwy. 252 brought on some brake lights as did road work on westbound 94 at the Fish Lake Interchange. But overall, drivers had a smooth commute.

Wednesday is Transit Driver Appreciation Day as declared by Gov. Mark Dayton. Be sure to thank your driver, and don't follow the example of one guy who assaulted a Metro Transit driver at the intersection of Penn Avenue and Olson Hwy. Wednesday morning.
