Tuesday's rush hour served up big delays for Crosstown drivers. A crash in which a vehicle landed in the center median around 7:40 a.m. tied up traffic for more than an hour. Eastbound traffic jammed from Shady Oak Road to the scene while westbound traffic was bound up back to I-35W.  The crash cleared a few minutes ago, but traffic is slow to regain momentum.

Westbound 94 drivers also saw delay in the Midway as a stall blocked the left lane of westbound 94 at Hamline Avenue. At the worst, things went sour at Marion Street. That cleared about 20 minutes ago. Traffic is starting to get back up to speed.

A ramp crash on the County Road 46 ramp from northbound I-35 in Lakeville led to a closure for about an hour. It happened just after 6 a.m.

Elsewhere dry roads kept traffic moving, but the mid-morning and afternoon conditions could deteriorate as a snow event will commence. Meteorologist Paul Douglas is calling for 1 to 3 inches as a system moves through.

That is is for this morning. I'll be back Wednesday with more live traffic reports here and on Twitter (@stribdrive). Feel free to send questions and comments about Twin Cities traffic.
