Conditions on I-94 west of Monticello have become so treacherous that the Minnesota Department of Transportation to close parts of the freeway in each direction. There also have been a number of crashes in the area.
Eastbound lanes are shut down from Stearns County Road 7 to Wright County Road 8, a mile east of Clearwater.
Westbound lanes are closed from County Road 8 at Hasty to Hwy. 24 at Clearwater.
