ALBERT LEA, Minn. — The mother of an 8-year-old girl struck and killed while riding her bike in Albert Lea says her daughter was a shining light in the lives of many.
Sophie Stultz died Saturday at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea where she was taken after she was hit by an SUV while biking.
Her mother, Sarah Stultz, managing editor of the Albert Lea Tribune (http://bit.ly/29vmCEl ), issued a statement through her employer saying the family is relying on their faith, friends, relatives and community for strength in dealing with the loss of Sophie.
A GoFundMe page was set up to help the family.
