8 a.m. update: Current drive times

It's a rain delay on I-694 across the northern suburbs as westbound traffic is creeping along from I-35E over to Hwy. 252.

The rain also seems to be bogging things down on southbound Hwy. 169 from 77th Avenue in Brooklyn Park down to 394.

Southbound 35W also has a pocket of very heavy traffic from Lexington Avenue down to about County Road 96.

Westbound Hwy. 610 hits the skids at Zane Avenue. Look for a crash ahead at Hwy. 169.

South metro routes are moving fairly well, but do expect a pocket of congestion here and there, especially on northbound Cedar, 35W and Hwy. 169 approaching the Minnesota River.

Westbound 694 from 35E to Hwy. 252: 20 minutes. Eastbound is 10 minutes.

Eastbound 94 from Hwy. 101 to 494: 19 minutes

Eastbound 394 from 494 to 35W via 94: 11 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 169 from I-94 to Crosstown: 35 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 100 from I-94 to Crosstown: 24 minutes

South metro

Northbound 35W from County 42 to Crosstown: 14 minutes To downtown Minneapolis: 23 minutes.

Northbound 35E from County 42 to downtown St. Paul: 17 minutes

Northbound 169 from Canterbury Road to 494: 14 minutes

Eastbound Hwy. 212 from Dell Road to Crosstown: 4 minutes

Westbound 494 from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 100: 11 minutes. Eastbound 494 from Hwy. 169 to 35W: 8 minutes
