8:45 a.m. update: Delays subsiding

Unless you are on the westbound Crosstown, delays on mainline roads are minimal. Traffic volumes are dropping as are drive times.

Unless you are on the westbound Crosstown, delays on mainline roads are minimal. Traffic volumes are dropping as are drive times.

The exception is the westbound Crosstown. The left lane is blocked as a tow loads up a car that crashed into the center median more than an hour ago at Gleason Road. Traffic is jammed back to I-35W and it's 22 minutes from Cedar to Hwy. 169.

This just happened. A smash up on the intersection of Lyndale Avenue and Olson Hwy. in Minneapolis has left two cars a crumpled mess. No word if there were any injuries.
