A quick flurry of crashes have brought congestion to a few of the busy routes in the metro.

Traffic slows on northbound Hwy. 61 due to a crash at the I-494 interchange in Newport. Plan on slow downs coming up from Cottage Grove.

Also in the area, westbound 494 is crammed from Bailey Road across the Wakota Bridge. Much of that is due to an earlier crash over at Dodd Road.

Look for lots of flashing lights and delays on southbound 35E due to a crash on the right shoulder at Hwy. 36.

In Minneapolis, heavy traffic and a crash on the left shoulder at Industrial Blvd. will set you back up to 5 minutes from County Road C. Westbound Hwy. 36 is sluggish from Lexington Avenue over to 35W.

One other crash of note:Eastbound 694 at Snelling Avenue.
