By far, the most difficult drives are in the north metro. Both southbound 35E and 35W are experiencing lots of stagnation. I-35E is crammed south of 694 while 35W is nearly parked between Lexington Avenue and County Road J.
The knot on eastbound 94 out in St. Michael is gradually loosening. An earlier crash at Hwy. 241 led to a backup of four miles into Albertville.
Both southbound 494 and Hwy. 169 in the west metro also have lost all momentum. It's a very slow roll through Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove and Plymouth on both routes.
