7:30 a.m. update: Current drive times

Road work on southbound 494 has the freeway down to one lane from the Fish Lake Interchange down to 49th Avenue. That is having a big impact on eastbound 94 traffic coming in from Rogers and Maple Grove. The delays as motorists squeeze into the one lone southbound lane on 494 has traffic on eastbound 94 bogged down from County Road 81. It's very slow going.

More misery for eastbound 94 drivers comes in downtown Minneapolis where a trio of crashes has the drive from Lowry Avenue to Hwy. 280 very congested. The wrecks are at Hennepin Avenue, I-394 and LaSalle Avenue, but the one at 394 and LaSalle have just cleared.

The rest of the metro is looking just fine, although southbound 35E drivers will find a minor set back from Larpenteur Avenue down to I-94. A previous crash on the Cayuga Bridge led to a knot that is slowly loosening in St. Paul.

Eastbound 94 from Hwy. 101 to 494: 32 minutes

Southbound 494 from 94 down to 394: 12 minutes

Eastbound 394 from 494 to 35W via 94: 10 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 100 from I-94 to Crosstown: 15 minutes

South metro

Northbound 35W from County 42 to Crosstown: 10 minutes To downtown Minneapolis: 17 minutes.

Northbound Cedar Avenue from 35E to the Crosstown: 9 minutes

Northbound 35E from County 42 to downtown St. Paul: 17 minutes

Eastbound Hwy. 212 from Dell Road to Crosstown: 4 minutes

Westbound 494 from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 100: 9 minutes. Eastbound 494 from Hwy. 169 to 35W: 8 minutes
