6:30 a.m. update: Current drive times

While traffic on southbound I-494 is still moving quite well through the work zone in Plymouth and Maple Grove, the first signs of congestion are showing up on other routes.

Motorists on westbound 694 from Hwy. 61 to the western junction of 35E are waiting in line. That's due to the road work on southbound 35E from Little Canada Road to Maryland Avenue. Things are thickening up on southbound 35E, too.

Look for a pocket of congestion on southbound Hwy. 169 from Hwy. 610 to I-94. South of 94 things are still moving near the posted speeds down to Medicine Lake Road.

The usual busy traffic conditions on southbound 35W in the northern suburbs are present. Plan to ride the brakes from 95th Avenue down to 694.

Northbound 35W from County 42 to Crosstown: 9 minutes To downtown Minneapolis: 15 minutes.
