6:30 a.m. update: Current drive times

There is lots of smoke and flashing lights at the scene of a vehicle that caught fire on southbound I-35 between Hwy. 97 and the Forest Lake Split of 35W and 35E. With the right lane blocked, traffic comes to a very slow roll from north of Hwy. 97. Plan on 3 to 5 minute delay.

Better news ahead: Both southbound 35W and 35E flow freely down to 694.

One other incident of note, and that's a crash in Apple Valley at McAndrews Road and Pilot Knob.
