6:30 a.m. update: Crowding on 35W in north metro

It would not be a rush hour if we didn't have congestion on 35W in the north metro, and we have it. Traffic volumes are increasing between Lake Drive and I-694. Plan on a few extra minutes to make that drive.

It would not be a rush hour if we didn't have congestion on 35W in the north metro, and we have it. Traffic volumes are increasing between Lake Drive and I-694. Plan on a few extra minutes to make that drive.

We also have traffic starting to jam up on eastbound Hwy. 10 approaching 35W.

There is word of a stalled vehicle on eastbound 394 east of Hwy. 100. That's not having a big impact on traffic yet.

Beware for police activity in downtown Minneapolis. It sounds like the cops are trying to stop a vehicle in the area of 11th Street on westbound 94

On Hwy. 13 at Nicollet Avenue in Burnsville, it's a car fire that is attracting attention.
