Those in search of crispy grooves, look elsewhere. The theme at First Ave tonight is not overtly weedy; it's decidedly dancey. This event features female DJ duo Dirty Talk, house/electro mainstay Strangelove, kitchen-sink danceman DJ ESP and several others. There's free crossover for those with tickets to see Rusko in the Mainroom.

With the clever removal of a simple "W," the crew at Fifth Element frames the evening expertly. Muja Messiah and Maria Isa host a night of pot appreciation/rap that includes I Self Devine, Los Nativos, Gene Poole and others.

The 26-year-old DJ Rusko, born Chris Mercer, has produced songs for Rihanna, T.I. and M.I.A. Along with fellow Brit James Blake, he's at the forefront of the current dubstep explosion. English DJ Doorly to open.
