DRAFT BY THE NUMBERS

Consecutive years in which a Heisman Trophy winner has been the No. 1 overall pick (Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Joe Burrow).

SEC players drafted in the first round, breaking the record of 12. By the time the draft was over, 63 players had come from the SEC, and LSU sent 14, tying the most for a seven-round draft. A record 64 SEC players were drafted last year.

Where Ohio State's Jeff Okudah, right, went in the first round, to the Lions. He was the highest-drafted cornerback since Shawn Springs — another Buckeye — was selected third by Seattle in 1997.

Big Ten players drafted, second to the SEC. Six of its teams had four or more players drafted: Ohio State (10), Michigan (10), the Gophers (five), Penn State (five), Iowa (five) and Wisconsin (four).

Players chosen from outside the FBS (six from the FCS, two from Division II and one from Division III). The first to go was safety Kyle Dugger from Division II Lenoir-Rhyne, in the second round to the Patriots. The only Division III player drafted was offensive tackle Ben Bartch of St. John's. Bartch was the first Johnnies player taken in the draft since 1974. The Saints made tight end Adam Trautman the first player drafted from the University of Dayton since 1977.
