Next year millions of acres of agricultural land now protected by the Conservation Reserve Program will come up for contract renewal. But much of it may be converted to cash crops, the result of high prices and expected cutbacks in federal conservation programs.
We respect the desire of some tipsters to remain anonymous, and have put in place ways to contact reporters and editors to ensure the communication will be private and secure.
