Your article misses the mark... If you remember, golf used to be played with wood SHAFTS and leather balls with feathers in them. I … read more wonder what those guys would say about the "new" steel shafts and wound balls with hard covers. Bottom line, every generation has newer and better equipment. I would argue less change to the game has taken place with the latest generation of new equipment as compared to the original equipment from 100+ years ago.
