The way the Lynx played defense in their one-sided victory over the Stars at Target Center on Sunday was impressive. The Lynx matched their season low with 66 points and still won by 17. They held San Antonio to six first-quarter points, to 49 points over all and to 29 percent shooting, all season lows for a Lynx opponent.

Here are some thoughts on the game:

• I think it's going to take a while for Anna Cruz to get completely comfortable with her new team. But she can defend on the perimeter and she brings flow to the game. You saw her play a good bit on the floor with Lindsay Whalen tonight. You could see more of that going forward.

• Devereaux Peters was also very good defensively, getting three blocks in 17:46 of playing time. Peters also scored five points with six rebounds and an assist.

• Maya Moore is really starting to find her groove. She scored 20, her fourth straight game with 20 or more and she was all over the court, with nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

• Tricia Liston played 20 minutes, and they were productive.
