A Vadnais Heights woman pleaded guilty this week to hitting and killing a motorcyclist in St. Paul with her vehicle last fall and then leaving the scene.

Autumn Mason, 26, pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular homicide on Wednesday in Ramsey County District Court after she was charged for striking lifelong East Side resident Roy Kromschroeder with her sport-utility vehicle as he rode his motorcycle through a St. Paul intersection in September. Kromschroeder died later that day.

According to the charges, Mason stopped and then proceeded east through the four-stop intersection at Prosperity and Ivy Avenues when she hit Kromschroeder, who had stopped on his motorcycle and then headed north through the intersection.

The collision caused Kromschroeder's helmet to fly off and Mason's front license plate to be dislodged. The plate was found on top of the motorcycle.

Mason's sentencing is scheduled for April 11.
